摘要
风格分析是西方艺术史中比较成熟的方法,通过关注艺术作品及具体艺术家的风格演变并将其运用于艺术史的分期和具体作品的断代。普林斯顿大学的方闻将传统中国视觉结构和西方风格分析的方法相结合是对中国美术史研究的一次有效尝试;说明通过对西方中国美术史方法的了解有助于从不同的视角和领域对中国美术史的研究获得更广阔的认识。
Stylistic analysis is a comparatively mature approach to studying art history in western countries, which emphasizes on the work of art and the evolution of style of individual artist and applies them to the period division of art history and the dating of specific work. Wen Fong from Princeton University makes an effective attempt to studying the history of Chinese art by combining stylistic analysis with traditional Chinese visual structure. Through further understanding of the western approaches to studying the history of Chinese art, a panoramic view of the history of Chinese art from different perspectives and fields can be achieved.
