An airleg rock drill is simply used to excavate hard and compact rock in a railway tunnel, and the result is satifactory. The tri empty hole trianglar cutting techynology with hole utilization ratio of 90% and smooth blasting technology with semi hole ratio of 85% are obtained, and their applications and experiments in tunnel excavation are introduced.
