摘要
现代主义并不单单是一个美学事件,也可以用社会学视角来阐述。在现代主义文化思潮中,一直有这样一组争论:现代社会是一个日益非人格化的社会,还是一个日益自由化的社会?个人所承担的角色与自我又发生了哪些冲突?文章主要以丹尼尔.贝尔的现代主义思想为基础,来分析社会学界对于这一争论的不同解说,探讨现代社会之性质。
Modernism is not merely an aesthetic event,but also can be elaborated from sociological perspective.In the thinking trend of modernistic culture,there has been a pair of arguments： Is the modern society a non-personalized society,or a freer one？ What conflicts exist between individual＇s role and self？ Based on Daniel Bell＇s theory of modernism,the nature of modern society is discussed with the analysis of various interpretations in the field of sociology.
