Neutron remmeter is widely used in neutron dose monitoring. The most popular remmeter is so called A-B remmeter which was developed by I. Andersson and J.Braun in 1960's,the energy response of the A-B remmeter is acceptable in the energy range of thermal to about 20 MeV, in higher energy region, the A-B remmeter will underestimate the neutron dose seriously. So an extended-range spherical neutron remmeter was developed in last year to fulfil the requirement of the neutron field monitoring of CSR.
