Objective To explore the expression level of Treg and transforming growth factor β1(TGF-β1) in the peripheral blood of patients with chronic hepatitis B virus(CHB) infection and its clinical significance. Methods 105 patients with CHB were selected, and they were divided into three groups according to the state of illness.26 healthy people were selected as control group.Treg,TGF-β1 and the level of HBV-DNA in serum were detected by flow cytometry,ELISA and PCR respectively. Results The levels of Treg and TGF-β1 in CHB group were significantly higher than that of control group. The level of Treg was positively correlated with the level of TGF-β1.Conclusion The expression levels of Treg and TGF-β1 both increase in CHB patients, which indicates that Treg and TGF-β1 plays an important role in immunoregulation in CHB patients as well as in preventing specific cell immune response. It may be related to the chronic turn and the occurrence and development of hepatic disease.
