摘要
爱伦·坡于1843年创作的短篇小说《泄密的心》是反映他惊艳写作视角和恐怖美学的经典力作。作品以眼睛作为恐怖情绪的来源,以主人公内心的情绪变化作为推动整个故事情节的动力,使读者在阅读过程中跟随主人公的情感变化,切身感受其内心的恐惧,并领会恐怖效果的实现所带来的独特美感,从而挖掘人性中的丑恶、阴暗以及病态的心理。
Written by Edgar Allan Poe in 1843,The Tell-Tale Heart is regarded as one of the classical short stories that reflect Poe＇s stunning writing perspectives and horror aestheticism.With the eyes as the witnesses of horror scenes and the inner emotional changes of the protagonist as the driving force to develop the whole story,The Tell-Tale Heart makes the readers follow the protagonist＇s emotional changes,feel his inner fears,and understand the unique beauty brought by the horror effect.Thus the ugly,dark and morbid side of human nature is fully unveiled.This thesis tries to analyze the horror effect of this story from the aspects of colors,scenes and psychology.It focuses on how Poe presents the unique beauty in horror and death,and demonstrates his unity of effect and the aesthetic tendency.
