摘要
本文记述1955年四川省万县树洞中采获一新种直足蚊,命名为万县直足蚊Orthopodo-myiawanxianensis。本新种模式标本存放在四川省医学科学院寄生虫病防治研究所和万县地区卫生防疫站。
Genus Orthopodomyia consists of four sections and eight speciesgroups (Zavor- tink,1968), but only albipes group of the Orthopodomyia section occurs in orien- tal region. No Scales patch was found in subspiracular area of the adult specimen. Med- ian part of the upper margin on sternam of segment Ⅸ showed hollow. Head hair of the larva 4-C poorly developed. On abdoman segment ⅵ-Ⅶ there Was no sclerotized plat.Siphon with basal lateral process in the base,was Short.Anal Saddle was incomplete. Being compared with albipes group,the new species revealed signifcant mor- phological differences.In view of the foregoing facts,we wish to suggest that the classification of Orthopodomyia wanxianensis be further defined. Type specimens: Holotype 1♂, paratype 5♂♂, 1 ♀ and7 larvae skins. La- rvae collected from water in tree hole in Wanxian County, Sichuan Province. All adults were obtained by larvae cultivation. Specimens are deposited in the Insti- tute of Antiparasitic Diseases, SichUan Academy of Medical Sciences,Chengdu, and Health and Anti-epidemic Station of Wanxian District, Sichuan Province. China.
