With a hard kaolin ore in Hubei province as the sample,its whiteness change law in the roasting process was studied and an efficient additive for improving the roasted kaolin whiteness of this mine district was successfully found.Meanwhile,deep investigation on the mechanisms of kaolin whitening by roasting and NaCl additive was made.
