人类社会的发展正面临着资源匮乏的严重威胁，而工业工程则从优化企业内部生产要素逐步发展到对整个社会经济系统的优化，成为促进社会经济可持续发展的重要手段。
Human society is facing serious threat of resourec shortage. IE has gradually been developed from optimiaing internal factors of an enterpriseto economic system of whole society. It has become an important means for sustainable development of social economy.
