摘要
研究了在具有网络外部性特征的市场中,新进入厂商和在位厂商的兼容性决策问题。通过产品兼容度将消费者的转移成本内生化,并且创造性地将新进入厂商和在位厂商对对方产品的兼容度分开进行独立讨论。研究发现,兼容度水平不是越高越好,而是存在唯一兼容度使得双方的利润最大化,并且在位厂商的利润随新进入厂商兼容度的提高而降低,然而新进入厂商的利润却随着在位厂商的兼容度的提高而提高。
Compatibility choices of entry firm and incumbent firm with network externalities are studied.This issue by considering switching cost is analyzed which is endogenous by the degree of compatibility,and discussed the compatibility degree of entry firm and incumbent firm separately.It exists the only degree of compatibility to maximize both profit are ound.The profit of incumbent firm decreases when the compatibility degree of entry firm increases.However the profit of entry firm increases when the compatibility degree of incumbent firm increases.
