每年的5月17日是世界电信日,1999年世界电信日的主题是电子商务.电子商务是指利用电子网络进行的商务活动,Internet电子商务是指通过Internet,Intranet及Extranet进行的商务活动.Internet电子商务有其特定的运行环境和过程,具有诸多优势,同时也存在一些问题.电子商务对经济增长、经济结构的调整、企业竞争力的提高都具有深远的影响,因此具有光明的发展前景.从全球电子商务迅猛的发展势头和许多重要事件可以看出,世界各国、各组织都在加紧活动,积极推动Internet电子商务的发展,未来社会将是电子商务的社会.
May 17th of each year is Telecom Day. The theme of this year's Telecom Day is Electronic Commerce. Electronic commerce is the commercial activities carried on electronic networks, while Internet electronic commerce is those based on Internet, Intranet or Extranet. The running environment and transaction process of Internet electronic commerce as well as its advantages and shortcomings are introduced in this paper. Electronic commerce will play an important role in economic growth, economic architecture adjustment and the increase of enterprise competitiveness, therefore it shows good prospects. It can be seen from many important affairs and the strong momentum of electronic commerce that all countries and organizations in the world are promoting the development of electronic commerce actively. Future society will be an electronic commerce society.
