摘要
本文介绍了全球热带林消失率、温室气体的释放量及它在整个环境污染中所占比例。作者在国际研讨会上提出,最合理的解决方案是控制人口、发展经济、合理而有效地利用森林资源。
Basic situations of greenhouse gas emissions caused by tropicaldeforestation in the world are briefly presented. And possible responsestrategies are proposed from three aspects--sustainable land use, refores-tation and forest protection. The author assumes that the most rationalstrategies are population restricting, economic promoting, and reasonableand efficient using of forest resources which will slowly curb deforestationin. developing countries. The author warns that the. positive contributionof forests. on the earth: to CO_2 emission equals to the negative one in thelong run, we should not expect too much from forests.
