从分析西北地区图书馆在自动化建设、信息服务的现状、特点入手，探讨了西北地区图书馆自动化建设、信息化、网络化、信息服务整体化的发展策略和途径，提出了一些建议。
After analyzing the present situation and peculiarity of the library automation and information service in the Northwest. this article looks into the development tactics and ways about construction of library automation. Information. network and resource sharing etc. in the Northwest. and offers some proposals for reference.
