摘要
在构建和谐社会这个时代主题上,首先应正视社会中存在的或显或隐的危机和矛盾,其次应看到佛教在处理矛盾和危机方面的独特理念和实际作用以及局限,最后再结合现阶段社会状况来定位佛教的角色。
In terms of the epochal theme of building a harmonious society,the paper shares the following perspectives on the role orientation of Buddhism：first,it should be acknowledged that there are existent crises and contradictions in our present society,be it overt ones or covert ones;second,the unique concepts,actual functions and limitations of Buddhism in dealing with crises and contradictions should be identified;and third,the role of Buddhism should be orientated in combination with the present social circumstances.
