The role of academic performance in national tuition assistance system

摘要 国家助学金不是救济金,家庭贫困不是申请国家助学金的充分条件。根据国家助学金的申请要求,通过将学习因子合理有效地纳入评审过程之中,既达到帮助贫困生顺利完成学业的目的,又体现高等教育的公平性,实现国家助学金"助困"与"助学"的要旨。文章通过对武汉工程大学国家助学金制度运行展开的实证分析,从制度和程序两个维度探讨在国家助学金制度运作过程中学习因子的作用,并提出初步的对策和建议。 National assistanceship is not relief fund and poor fiancial background is not a suffient condition to apply for national assistanceship. According to the requirements of applying for national assistanceship,good academic performance will be taken as an effective and reasonable element to put into the review process,in this way,not only would the "poor" students be supported to complete their study but also it would show the fairness of higher education, which is also the principle of "assist the poor" and "assist study". Based on the analysis on the practice of the national tuition assistance system in Wuhan Institute of Technology, this article discussed the role of academic performance in national tuition assistance sysetem in the respect of system and process and put forward the initial countermeasures and advice.
