People showed great interests in microalgae due to their good characteristics such as high efficiency of using solar energy, small size, nutritional value, rapid growth and multiplication rate and easy to culture. Microalgae have many good uses in practice, Firstly, they can be used as human's nutritional and health food, as food of aquatic organisms, as additives of human's food and animal's food, as adjusting agent of plant growth. Besides, we can extract useful chemical materials such as EPA/DHA, pigment and glycerine from microalgae, treat wastewater by microalgae. Also, rotifer and brine shrimp can be strengthened by microalgae rich in EPA/DHA. But some microalgae also have some disadvantages such as causing red tide and secreting poisonous materials.
