摘要
蜡梅科是一个古老的科,包括3属9种和2变种.全科皆为虫媒花.美国蜡梅属的传粉昆虫仅为古老起源的露尾甲科和蓬根露尾甲科的甲虫,蜡梅属的传粉昆虫皆为现代起源的蜜蜂科和食蚜蝇科的蜂和蚜蝇,而夏蜡梅既有球螋科,又有蜜蜂科和食蚜蝇科的昆虫传粉.传粉昆虫的历史起源可能反映植物的系统发育.据此推测,在蜡梅科内,美国蜡梅属比较原始,夏蜡梅属比较进化,而蜡梅属最为进化.
The Calycanthaceae is an old family,consisting of 9 species and 2 varieties belonging to 3 genera.All members of Calycanthaceae are insect pollinated.Only the Coleoptera beetles of Nitidulidae and Rhizophagidae of ancient origin transfer the pollen of Calycanthus.In Sinocalycanthus the pollen transfer is accomplished by Dermeptera earwigs of Forficulidae,Deptera flower flies of Syrphidae,and Hymenoptera ceratinid bees of Ceratinidae and honeybees of Apidae.In Chimonanthus,however,the pollinating agent is only the flower flies and honeybees of modern origin.Pollinators of various historical origins may reflect the phylogeny of plants.From this point of view it may be assumed that Calycanthus might be the more primitive element of the family,Sinocalycanthus the more advanced,and Chimonanthus the most advanced.
