摘要
环境一般指环绕人类社会周围的自然界。资源是环境之中对人类有利用价值的材料，人类通过劳动可以把材料变为财富。它们都是人类赖以生存与发展的自然基础，否则，人类社会便根本无从产生与存在。人类社会自诞生以来，便一直掠续利用与保护着它们，但随着生产力的大大提高，一些人只图眼前利益，而浪费资源、破坏环境，产生了严重恶果。受到自然报复之后，始得出必须节约资源与保护环境，才能达到可持续利用的共识。
Environment is the nature arround human society, and the materials in the environment suitable to be utilized by human being are called resources, which can be changed into wealth by human activity. Environment and resources are all of the natural basis for human being to live in anddevelop on. Without this basis human society could not have been generated and could not survive. People have been making use of the resources and protecting the environment since the appearance of human society. Some people, however, wasted resources, damaged the environment,solely to pursue more immediate profits, resulting in serious environment problems, and finallywere punished by nature. Today, we realize that people should save resources and protect environment so as to utilize them sustainably.
