灰鹤在辽宁,过去一直被认定为旅鸟。但据4年的观察,灰鹤可以在辽宁渤海复州湾的滩涂越冬,越冬期约5个月左右,集群,数量每年不等,以玉米粒、草根、草茎等为食。
In the past, people believed that cranes(Grus grus) were migratory birds in the Liaoning Province of China. However, after a 4-year study, we found that this was not the case. Actually, the cranes overwinter in the Fuzhou Bay of Bohai in Liaoning Province, and the wintering period can last for about 5 months.The birds gather on the beach in numbers which vary between winters. They feed upon maize, grass roots or stems during the winter.
