The Compression of Meteorological Satellite Cloud-chart Images Based on SOFM Vector Quantization

摘要 成功地运用了矢量量化的方法对气象卫星云图进行有效压缩,使用的码书是通过自组织特征映射网络训练而成结果表明,采用矢量量化方法对气象卫星云图进行压缩,可以在获得较高压缩比的同时。 This paper realizes the compression of satellite meteorological cloud-chart images by using vector quantization and the codebook for vector quantization is trained by self-organizing neural network.By using vector quantization,the result shows it can get high compression ratio and good quality of decoded images.Moreover,by using dual addressing technique, the efficiency of encoding the vector index is significantly improved.
