本文比较了Internet与ATM的体系结构，介绍了IP与ATM结合的两种模型──覆盖模型和集成模型，并重点讨论了覆盖模型中的MPOA技术及集成模型中的MPLS技术。
The paper compares the infrastructure of Internet with that of ATM, introduces two models of combining IP with ATM-overlay model and integrated model, focuses on the MPOA of overlay model and MPLS of integrated model.
