This article makes a brief account of the uses and applicability of the packer type casing patch tool and a detailed description of the design features and working principles of each components, expounds the reliability, benefit and the points for attention by repairing broken and slanting casings, and depicts the tangible results obtained in Daqing Oil Field. Some sugestions for improving the tool are offered in addition.
