摘要
通过对苯乙烯-聚苯乙烯体系的折射率、密度、流变特性的研究,表明体系的折射率与浓度、温度在所研究的实验范围内具有良好的线性关系。密度可用 Lorentz-Lorenz 方程式估算。体系的流变行为接近于牛顿流体,建立了聚苯乙烯体系的粘度、浓度、聚合物分子量之间的关联式。研究所得结果可为苯乙烯本体聚合的在线控制提供基础数据。
In this paper,refractive index(n),density(ρ)and rheological characteristics ofpolystyrene-styrene system are studied.The results show that refractive index(n)is proportional to concentration(C)and temperature(T).It is also found that thedensity can be well predicted by Lorentz-Lorenz equation and the rheological be-havior is similar to Newtonian fluid.An empirical equation describing the rela-tionship between viscosity(η_0),concentration(C)and average viscosity molecularweight(?)is obtained as follows:η_0=8.435×10^(-23_M(?)^(3.63)C^(0.72)exp((946+5245C)/T)These results might have potential applications in on-line control of bulkpolymerization of styrene.
