摘要
认知语言学为话语理解与生成研究提供了新的理论框架,认为心理模型的运用是人类进行语用推理的基本形式,在自然语言的意义建构和理解过程中起着至关重要的作用。本文拟运用心智哲学的观点,在"外延内涵传承"分析框架内,以"x是y"的隐喻结构式为例,开展对自然语言生成运作机制的研究,以揭示语言表层后面同语言知识有关的心智活动,并认为自然语言生成是人们对客观事物之间的常规关系(相邻/相似关系)的认知加工、心理建模的结果。
Cognitive linguistics provides a new theoretical framework for the study of utterance interpretation and production, holding the view that the operation of mental models, as a base of pragmatic reasoning, plays a fundamental role in the meaning construction of natural language. This paper follows this new approach to analyze and interpret metaphorical language and meanings in denotation-connotation inheritance of the metaphorical pattern x is y, with similarity and proximity as its key concepts, within the Denotationconnotation Inheritance Analysis Framework proposed by Xu Shenghuan, to expose the reasoning mechanisms and mental activities of natural language production from a prospective of philosophy of mind, with the view that natural language interpretation and production are products of cognitively and mentally processing stereotypical relation between relational entities by human.
