摘要
介绍了当前西方经济学界有关规模经济计量方法的最新研究动态和存在的主要问题，提出与运输活动有关的规模经济可以划分成多种不同的类型，包括运输企业规模经济、线路通过密度规模经济、运输工具载运能力规模经济和运输距离经济等，应根据不同的研究目的和需要选用相应的分析工具．论文对规模经济计量模型分析中多指标特别是相对数量指标引入的必要性和筛选等问题进行了分析与说明，归纳总结了运输业规模经济的一般计量方法。
After introducing the newest developments and main problems in calculating analyses of scale economy in transport industries, the paper advanced that these kinds of scale economies should be divided into different categories such as the firm scale economy, the line′s traffic density economy, the vehicle capacity economy and the transport distance economy etc, and that the suitable method should be chosen to adapt to different analytic aim and need. By explaining the necessity of leading the multi output, especially the operating characteristic output into analytic models, and how to decide which output should be left out in calculating, the paper introduced the general math method in dealing with scale economy in transport industries. It also pointed out the problems which should be concerned with when using the method.
