摩托车许多关键部件需气体渗碳淬火,同时还要进行机械加工,在生产过程中一旦有氢陷阱就会在使用过程中导致延迟断裂。延迟断裂是环境氢从工件表面沿晶界进驻晶界并向内扩散,氢原子在此聚集,并在应力作用下最终导致沿晶界开裂。为此,在设计摩托车重要部件时,要避免使用氢含量高的材料,在加工过程中要严格控制工艺参数,防止氢迁移和扩散。
