摘要
"唐僧"一名在我国可谓家喻户晓,不过,对于该名称背后之"实",人们似乎知之不多。本文对"唐僧"的以下问题分别简作探讨:乳名,俗名及其读音,法名及其英译,历史功绩评价。
Xuan Zang,an eminent monk in the Tang Dynasty,is also known as＂the Tripitaka-master＂or simply＂the Tang Monk＂ in folklore.Although the term＂the Tang Monk＂is household in China,such things as the Monk’s baby name,his original name,English expression of his name are not familiar to most of us.The present paper tries to seek answers to the mentioned questions.In addition,the paper sums up the great historic deeds of the Monk.
