摘要
对文献[1]和[2]所指出的DC3T的优越性作了进一步讨论,认为DC3T并不具有熵压缩性,说DC3T具有能量压缩性是不妥的,DC3T的低通滤波性能比之DCT加视觉加权量化方案要略逊一筹,DC3T加量化的运算量不会比DCT加量化的少,因而DC3T并不具有比DCT更为优越的性能,不会取代DCT而广泛应用于图象数据压缩。
The good performances of DC3T pointed out by references and are further discussed in this paper, and the conclusions are as follows: DC3T has no entropy compressibility, it is inapposite to think DC3T to have energy compressibitity, the low pass filter character is somewhat inferior to the performance of DCT followed by psychoadaptive weighted quantization, and the computational cost of DC3T followed by quantization can not be less than that of DCT. Hence DC3T has no superior performance to DCT and can not be widely applied instead of DCT to image data compressing.
