摘要
人工生命是一种利用进化计算模型，通过计算机仿真，以化学或其它非生物为基体来描述生命的模型．人工生命仿真仅对低级实体的行为进行编辑，并且把全局模式作为低级实体间相互作用的结果表现出来．对人工生命的研究作了详细的综述，并且对其存在的问题进行了分析．
Artificial life is a model biological system that describes lives. It is achieved by computer simulation of evolutionary computation, chemical substrates or other non biological substrates. Artificial life adopts a bottom up approach in which the behavior of lower level entities is only programmed, and global patterns can emerge as a result of interaction among lower level entities. This paper summarizes researches of artificial life, and analyzes its existing problems.
