For the sake of keeping their belief, they diffuse Islamic culture by means of prayer on Friday in the big Mosque, daily activities in small praying places, assembly of families, studying in the weekends, visiting each other in Ramadan, traveling and relaxation, modern communicating tools, internet and publications. The characteristics of Islam in Yi Wu have complex ethnical backgrounds and unitary of religious denominations, and there is seldom of cultural discrimination and segregation between Muslims and non-Muslims. The constructions of temporary religious communities are influenced by synthetic factors especially the extending of markets and urban geography. The rooting way of Islam is still confronting with the trial of cultural adaptation in the new survival conditions.
