摘要
在高速信息处理系统中,DSP与其他模块间的通信能力已成为限制系统处理能力的瓶颈。千兆以太网技术具有传输速率高、距离远和成本低的优点,能够满足DSP高速远程数据传输的要求。以TI公司的TMS320C6455DSP芯片和VITESSE公司的VSC8201物理层芯片为例,从千兆以太网的接口电路设计,硬件接口驱动程序设计两个方面进行了研究,在TMS320C6455上实现了高速千兆以太网接口。实验结果显示,基于DSP的千兆以太网传输效率可达31%。
In high-speed information process system, the communication ability between DSP and other models is the bottleneck of the system processing ability. Gbps ethernet has many advantages, including high data transfer speed, long distance and low cost. These features could satisfy the requirement of DSP for high-speed data transfer in long distance. The paper, with TI TMS320C6455 DSP chip and VITESSE VSC8201 ethernet PHY chip as examples, tells of how to design Gbps ethernet hardware interface, Gbps ethernet interface driver. The experiment result shows that the transfer efficiency of DSP-based Gbps ethernet could be up to 31%.
