摘要
大量声波测井数据的传输和存储迫切需要有效的压缩编码技术,小波变换具有良好的局部化特性,使其特别适合于声波测井数据的压缩.文中把声波测井数据看成声波图像,利用二维小波变换对其正交分解,在不同的子带下对小波系数施行不同的处理方法,然后对数据进行复合编码.实际应用表明,该方法可以得到较高的压缩比和信噪比。
Acoustic wave logging data collected from oil well require large storage space and transmision capability. Two dimensional wavelet transform can be used to decompose the data. Large amplitude samples are preserved and the remainders are discarded by a pre selected threshold. Within the sub bands, data is quantized and hence HB(Head and Body)and arithmetic coding can be used to compress the data. Example is provided to show the high compression and signal to noise rate could be obtained.
