摘要
本文介绍了在远程通信中使用MODEM的优越性，详细介绍了保安报警网络系统中自行开发的虚拟MODEM系统：以8098单片机为核心，可以完全取代MODEM而自动拨号呼叫用户，将有关命令沿市话网传递给用户，又可接收用户传来的信息，能自动识别用户应答和用户自动报警。
This article introduces the advantages of using modem in telecommunication. The autor developed a virtual modem system using in a safety alarm system. It has a single-chip microcomputer 8098 as its kernel. It will substitute the modem,and automatically dial and call the user,sending the correlative command to the user along the wire. It can also receive the information from user. automatically identify the answer from user and the alarm from user.
