小型密封铯束频标中马乔拉纳跃迁研究

摘要 介绍马乔拉纳(Majorana)跃迁对小型密封铯束频标的影响,及怎样降低马乔拉纳跃迁,提高铯束频标的准确度和稳定度。 In commercial atomic clock,the influence of Majorana transitions on the beam current and on the clock frequency was measured.The observed effects can be explainedby a theory based on Majorana's formula. It is well known that the so-called 'Majorana transitions' between the Zeema levels of the hyperfine states F=4 and F=3 are induced in Cs atoms moving in an inhomogeneous magnetic field. This is probably due to the imperfections of the quantization field,especially in the vicinity of the state-selecting.magne ted.in cesium beam frequency standards Majorana transitions are regarded as being harmful to the performance of the standard and are suppressed by trimming the magnetic feilds.
