摘要
对于时间纬度工作,连锁法有着很多优点:消除系统常差,一揽子改正各种仪器,环境及星表误差,而不必关心改正的到底有多少种误差和改正的到底是哪种误差。但是对于星表工作,连锁法却有着很多的局限性和明显的缺点:连锁法只有在观测结果中只含有星表误差时才有效,使用连锁法的前提是弄清和分离各种仪器和环境误差;在没有弄清和分离各种仪器和环境误差的情况下盲目使用连锁法,会把各种具有周日变化的系统误差引入新星表,有时甚至使星表越改越坏,与星表工作的本意背道而驰。
For a long time,the Chain Method has been widly used in the time and latitude determination,and it has also been used in the catalogue compiling. It is known as useful method having many merits. Many stationary system atic errors can be eliminated and many errors variable with time can be corrected together, where as we need not to khow what kind of errors theye are. Undoubtedly, all these merits are very good for time and latitude determination. But in the catalogue work we must know what kind of errors there are.There might be the errors of the catalogue used,the instrument errors,or the environment errors.If these errors are not known and not eliminated from the observation data before using the Chain Method,all the systematic errors variable with the day and night will be brought to the new catalogue as the star regional corrections of the catalogue used.Sometime they would larger than true catalogue errors. So that Chain Method is not a good method for catalogue compilation. Therefore eliminating all these errors is the necessary precondition, for applying the Chain method to compile a new catalogue.
