基于改进的图像增强算法在车牌定位中的应用

摘要 车牌定位是自动车牌识别系统中的关键技术,图像增强算法在车牌定位又是尤为重要的一部分,针对传统车牌定位算法,提出一种改进的图像增强算法。该方法通过分析传统基于亮度差异的图像增强算法的局限性,将边缘密度值作为图像增强的关键因子进行处理,并将其应用于车牌定位系统。仿真实验结果表明,该方法的应用能够快速而准确的进行车牌定位操作,具有一定的理论和应用价值。 License plate location is the key technology of the automatic license plate recognition system, and image enhancement algorithm in license plate location is a particularly import part of traditional license plate location algorithm. According to the analysis of traditional arithmetic of plate location, we propose an improved image enhancement algorithm which by analyzing the variance of intensity for constituting pixel of the license plate and using edge density to replace intensity variance, and then use that method to the application of plate location. Simulation experiment show the method can carry out rapid and accurate locating plate and have a certain degree of theoretical and applied value.
