摘要
并发控制是CSCW系统的关键技术之一，旨在解决由于多用户同时操作可能产生的冲突，它与传统分布式系统的并发控制存在很大的差别。该文首先讨论了CSCW系统的并发控制机制的特点和功能需求，接着简要介绍了CSCW系统中各种并发控制方法，评述了其优缺点，着重研究了各种并发控制方法对用户接口的影响。最后，从设计实际CSCW系统的角度出发，讨论了选择和设计合适的并发控制算法应重点考虑的要素。
Concurrency control problem is one of the key techniques for designing CSCW systems. Its goal isto solve the conflicts when several users operate the shared object concurrently. It's quite different from thetraditional distributed systems. This paper first exposes the characters and requirements of the concurrencymechanism in CSCW systems,then introduces different concurrent control methods and their advantages anddisadvantages. Methods, such as locking, serialzation, and their degree of optimism, are shown to have quite different impacts on the interface. Last, the paper considers several issues that designers should ponder beforechoosing a particular concurrency control method.
