The most significant development in the field of synthetic organic chemistry is enzymatic syntheses of fine chemicals and Pharmaceuticals. Enzymes as catalysts in syntheses of chiral chemicals, pharmaceuticals, functional biomolecules, unnational chemicals, special fine chemicals and many novel intermediates have already been shown to have great potential and prospect for practical applications.
