摘要
本文以富钴结壳的研究意义、趋势、西太平洋的区域地质特征为背景，较为详细地阐述了西太平洋富钴结壳的区域分布特征、局部富集规律及其在水下平顶海山上的产出形态；论述了富钴结壳的物质组分，探讨了其含量变化与古海洋环境的关系；研究了富钴结壳的化学成分特征及其在空间上的变化规律，指出西太平洋富钴结壳成矿的良好前景，这对进一步开展富钴结壳成矿规律研究以及找矿勘探都有重要指导意义。
On the basis of the significance,and trend in of the research in Co_rich crusts and the regional geological characteristics of the Western Pacific,the paper deals with the features of the regional distribution and local enrichment of the Co_rich crusts of the Western Pacific and their modes of the occurrence on the submarine guyots.The mineral composition of Co_rich crusts has been determined and its variation is considered to be related to the palaeoceanic environment.The features of the chemical composition of Co_rich crusts and its variation in space have been studied.The authors hold that the mineralization of Co_rich crusts in the Western Pacific has good prospects.This research has great guidance significance in the further study of the metallogeny of Co_rich cructs and mineral exploration in the Western Pacific.
