摘要
文章在分析了古城保护与更新中城市设计的特点、难点基础上，围绕古城保护与更新中城市设计的核心内容──城市空间的分析与设计展开论述，着重对空间的类型、形态、尺度与比例、功能、质量、知觉进行了分析，并提出了古城保护与更新中城市设计的若干原则，旨在探索城市设计在古城保护与更新中的应用。
On the basis of analyzing tile characteristics and difficulties of preservation and renewal of old town, the author centers upon tile analysis and design of urban space.The analysis of space has sir aspects: Spatial Type, Spatial Form, Scale and Proportion, Function of Space, Perception of Space and Spatial Quality.The author thinks that the design of space in the preservation and renewal of old town must abide by the following three principles: The close of boundary; The identity and entirety of space; The continuity and dircction of space.
