六茜素和万菌沙星是两种新合成的兽药，二者已用于控制乳牛的乳房炎和某些其它疾病。两药品对绿脓杆菌和某些大肠杆菌的抑菌作用强于青霉素，对某些病原菌也具有一定的抑菌作用，例如对金黄色葡萄球菌和猪丹毒杆菌，但低于青霉素。作者认为。
Lixiansu and Wanjunxacin are two newly synthetical veterinary drugs, they have been used for control of the clinical mastitis of milking cows and some other diseases. They showed more bacteriostasis for Pseudomonas qeruginosa and some strains of Escherichia coli than that of Penicillin, and passable bacteriostasis for some other common pathogenic bactera . Such as Staphytococcus aureus and Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, though lower than that of penicillin. The authors believe that these two drugs are useful for some animal diseases treatment.
