INTEGRATING AUTHENTICITY IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHING TO FOSTER LEARNER AUTONOMY

摘要 教学的真实性和学习者自主性是外语教学中的两个重要议题,针对目前缺少整合二者进行研究的现实,从教学的真实性和学习者自主性的理论背景入手,论述了二者之间的关系,分析了教学真实性与学习者自主性之间不存在对立关系,而是相互补充、互为促进,强调语言教学的真实性能逐步发展自主学习能力;并从语言材料、语境任务和教学评估三方面提出要实现二者的整合,必须重视学习者自主评估、实现评估的多元化,对在实践中实现真实性教学、提高学生自主学习能力有一定的启示作用。 Both authenticity and learner autonomy are issues of great importance in foreign language learning and teaching,which possess substantial theoretical and practical value.It is far from easy to incorporate authenticity in teaching and to foster learner autonomy.The current paper discusses the relation between the two issues and concludes that authenticity could promote leaner autonomy to some extent.Some suggestions are put forward in terms of language material,language environment and task,and language assessment,aiming to realize the incorporation of authenticity in language teaching,therefore,to develop learner autonomy.
