摘要
从理论上探讨了半导体光放大器四波混频机制,并由耦合波方程,推导了波长转换效率的表达式。进一步分析了如何提高波长转换效率的方法,既可从放大器本身入手,也可通过优化其工作条件入手,为改善波长转换器的性能提供了理论依据。
The mechanism of four wave mixing (FWM) in semiconductor optical amplifier is investigated theoretically in the paper, and its expressions of wavelength converting efficiency are derived from the coupled wave equations. The methods of how to improve the converting efficiency are analyzed, that is to improve the unsaturated gain G 0 of detector and to optimize its work condition, which provide the theoretical basis for improving the characteristics of wavelength converter.
