摘要
应用IASPEI新推荐的体波震级标准,选取2001-2007年国家地震台网48个台记录到的震中距小于100°的564个地震事件为研究对象,测定短周期体波震级mb和宽频带体波震级mB(BB),并使用正交回归方法对IASPEI新标准体波震级与中国地震台网传统的短周期体波震级mbc、中长周期体波震级mBc及哈佛大学矩震级MW进行对比分析研究。分析结果表明:对于mb6.0以下地震,mb和mbc基本一致;对于mb6.0以上地震,mb比mbc偏大;对于mB(BB)7.0以下地震,mB(BB)比mBc偏大0.2-0.4,对于mB(BB)7.0以上地震,mB(BB)和mBc基本无偏差;对于4.5〈MW〈8.0地震,mB(BB)和MW基本一致。由于宽频带体波震级mB(BB)具有测定速度快,精度高,并对于8.0级以下地震与矩震级MW基本一致的特点,故mB(BB)在地震应急反应中能够发挥重要作用。
By using IASPEI new body wave magnitude standards,body wave magnitudes mb and mB(BB) of 564 earthquakes with epicentral distances less than 100° are measured on the basis of observations from 48 China seismograph network stations between 2001 and 2007.A systematic comparison research of magnitudes is made between body wave magnitudes determined by using IASPEI new body magnitude standards(mb,mB(BB)) and China traditional body magnitude standards(mbc,mBc) and HARV moment magnitude(MW) by using orthogonal regression method.The result of orthogonal regression shows mb and mbc are basically identical for mb〈6.0 earthquakes.For M〉6.0 earthquakes,mb is greater than mbc.For M〈7.0 earthquakes,mB(BB)(IASPEI) is greater by 0.2~0.4 than mBc.For M〉7.0 earthquakes,there is no significant difference between mB(BB) and mBc.mB(BB) is nearly consistent with MW for 4.5〈MW〈8.0 earthquakes.Because of its fast measurement,high precision and basic consistence with MW,broadband magnitude scale mB(BB) plays an important role in earthquake emergency and disaster mitigation.
