摘要
在阐述普通教育内涵变化的基础上,分别从教育目的、教育内容、教育过程三个方面介绍了赫钦斯与布鲁贝克关于普通教育的思想。赫钦斯的普通教育思想对20世纪美国的高等教育产生了重要的影响,而布鲁贝克提出将普通教育和职业教育相结合的思想更适应当代社会的要求。通过两种普通教育思想对比分析表明,普通教育和职业教育相结合是现代高等教育发展的必然趋势。
Based on the changes of general education contents,this paper introduces Hutchins and Brubacher＇s thoughts on general education from three aspects： education purpose,education content,education process.Hutchins＇ thinking of the general education produced a significant impact on the United States higher education in the twentieth century,but Brubacher＇s thinking,combination of general education and vocational education,is better adapted to the requirements of contemporary society.The comparative analysis of these two kinds of general education shows that it is an inevitable trend for modern higher education that the general education combines with professional education.
