The paper introduces the design process of the AS/R system of a certain distribution center of finished thread products, details the whole operation process starting from unloading from inbound vehicles, through automatic transport, stockpiling, warehousing, automatic outbound unloading, automatic sorting, up until loading and dispatching, and studies the main parameters of the process. It also introduces the advanced automatic storage, sorting and transport equipment of the distribution center as well as many innovative sorting arrangements.
