"和而不同"是中国传统文化的核心理念和基本精神,它包含相当丰富的哲学思想。和而不同是指不同事物之间,虽不同但能和谐相处;和谐以共生共长,不同以相辅相成。"和而不同"思想对于我们今天构建社会主义和谐社会仍具有十分重要的意义。
＂Harmony but not sameness＂ is the kernel conception and basic spirit of traditional Chinese culture,which contains a very rich philosophical thought.It refers to the fact that things are different but may co-exist harmoniously,with harmony helpful to coexistence and differences for mutual complementation.This thought is of great significance to the construction of a harmonious socialist society today.
