摘要
如果说任何想象都与感觉、知觉、表象、意向有关的话,形象思维不但与感觉、知觉、表象、意向有关,而且与情感、意趣、联想以至推理有关。想象(包括其高度活跃的形态——形象思维)的特性,我们可以从它与感觉、知觉、表象、概念、意向、情感、意趣、联想、抽象思维等的关系看出。艺术想象既是一种特殊的思维方式,也是一种特殊的感受方式,亦即艺术体验的基本方式。艺术想象之所以是一种特殊的思维方式,因为它是在情感活动中思维;艺术想象之所以是一种特殊的感受方式,因为它是在思维中感受;艺术想象之所以是艺术体验的基本方式,就因为它是在情感活动中思维和感受兼而有之的过程。
If imagination is connected with sensation, perception, idea and intention, visualized thinking is not only connected with all aspects mentioned above, but with emotion, interest, association, even with inference. As to the features of imagination （including its most active form visualized thinking）, we can draw conclusion from its relationship with sensation, perception, idea, definition, intention, emotion, interest, association, abstract thinking and so on. Artistic imagination is a special way of thinking, and also a special way of sensing; at the same time it is a basic way of artistic experience. We say it is a special way of thinking, because it is thinking in emotion; it is a special way of sensing, because it senses in thinking; and it is a basic way of artistic experience, because it is a process which includes thinking and sensing in emotion.
