摘要
以抗寒高产为育种目标,以Speador2为原始材料,在乌鲁木齐市自然条件下,连续3a自然选择后,1994年冬再次人工扫雪冷冻筛选,1995年春季返青后,以返青早、株丛大、长势好、健壮为选择单株的标准,选得11株,隔离,开放授粉,分株收种,种子等量混合而成品系,再经过多年的系列试验(品比、多点、生产)育成。在乌鲁木齐3a平均产鲜、干草比北疆苜蓿(CK)分别增产27.61%和31.4%,比原始亲本Speador2分别增产38.6%和29.68%。在阿勒泰等地试验结果类同。抗寒及耐盐性也比北疆苜蓿强。1998年经全国牧草品种审定委员会审定通过,正式定名为新牧3号杂花苜蓿。
A breeding program of alfalfa new variety for cold resistance and high yield had been carried out under natural condition of Urumqi.Naturally selected for three years, origin variety Speador 2 was treated by removing snow cover from field during winter in 1994. Total of 11 plants,which were early green up,vigorous and healthy,were selected in 1995.These plants pollinated freely under isolated condition. Seeds of each plant were harvested and new synthetic variety (9501) was composed of equal amount of seeds of each plant.Then the new variety was tested with series trails(varietal trails,multi site trails and production trails).In Urumqi,fresh and dry yields of three years’s average of the new variety were 27.61% and 31.4% higher than that of north of Xinjiang Alfalfa(CK),respectively,and 38.6% and 29.68% higher than that of Speador 2,respectively.Results in Altai were similar.Cold resistance and salt tolerance of the new variety was better than that of north of Xinjiang alfalfa.After nine years breeding,the new variety passed the examination of the Chinese Herbage Cultivar Registration Board in November,1998, Then the new variety was formally named as Xinmu No.3(WTBX Medicago varia Maryn CV.)
