摘要
通过对广深铁路发展历程的回顾和总结,说明了速度是运输企业在市场竞争中取胜的关键;发展高速铁路是中国铁路迎接新世纪的正确战略决策;铁路不仅在中、长距离运输中而且在短途运输中具有优势。
After looking back at the course of the development of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Railway, this paper concludes that speed is the essential hardware for a transport enterprise to compete in the market and that development of high-speed railway is the correct strategic decision for Chinese railways for the coming century. This paper further stresses that railway is of advantage not only in long and medium distance transportation, but also in short distance one.
